Nodame Cantabile

Other than playing Crisis Core, I do watch anime with my PSP from time to time, here is one of the anime that I have just finished watching.

It’s a pretty good anime about music/orchestra and a bit of a romance/comedy, the good thing about this anime is you get to listen to the animated orchestra performing some classical music to give you a feel what a real orchestra performance is like if you haven’t been to a real one, hehe

The opening song is good, which is why I watch this anime I guess, hehe
Starts off with a short catchy piano before you heard a rather digitized voice singing the song and here is the opening song of the anime.

Other than being a fan for romance/comedy, I am also a fan for sports anime, so far the worse sports anime I have watched are all related to basketball, I guess it’s because the very first basketball anime, Slam Dunk have set a pretty high standard that the basketball anime of the recent years have fail to surpass or even come close to being as good as Slam Dunk.

Anyway, Overdrive is a sports anime about cycling, the first of it’s kind that I have watch and I pretty much enjoyed it. It’s about Shinozaki Mikoto, a boy whom doesn’t know how to cycle but joined the cycling club of his school because he was invited by a girl he liked, from there on, it’s pretty much about him training to become a good cyclist and of course the cycling event at the mid till end of the anime which pretty much explain how tough it is to be ‘road racing’ (*meaning: cycling for a very long distance along road, which lead through mountainous and difficult terrains I guess*)

Of course the opening song to this anime is good and here is the opening song to the anime.

Bokura Ga Ita

Posted in Bokura Ga Ita with tags , on February 19, 2008 by kimjim

As usual, due to backlogs I have way too many animes left unwatched but I guess this is rather normal for a normal person like me with very normal routine life revolving around ‘WEST’ (Work, Eat, Sleep and Shit Toliet) and WEST takes up 20 hours or more of my life, leaving little to no time for leisure activity like watching animes, hehe

I have just managed to finish watching this 2006 anime. It’s basically a romance/comedy about a girl falling in love with a very popular guy in her class, of course, like all romance/comedy anime, ‘the course of true love never did run smooth’

The amazing part of this anime which makes me want to watch this anime is probably the music in the form of the opening and ending songs, this anime have great music, probably one of the few animes that I even bother to listen to the ending songs and sometime during the anime it inserts the smoothing ending songs to it and make the mood of the scenario really ‘romantic’. For a 26 episodes anime to have 9 ending songs, it’s quite amazing and probably rare, so you get to enjoy 9 great ending songs in 1 anime of 26 episode, that’s like every 1 new ending song after 2 to 3 episode, of course I have some favourites among these ending songs.

Of course the opening song to this anime is good too and here is the opening song to the anime.

Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann

Chinese New Year, a time when I used to collect a decent amount of “hong bao” money. The time when I used to eat the sweets I like and drink all the soft drinks I want, turned into a time for me to watch all the back dated anime that I have been missing out on.

Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann is one of them and I heard lot of reviews on, saying it’s one of the greatest/best mecha series in 2007. I was kind of skeptical when I was told or read about people’s comment for I did watched the first ep of Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann when it was first released and wasn’t very much impressed with the animation so I put it on hold till now.

I guess I misjudged this series, it is indeed one of the better mecha show in 2007 still I won’t rate it as the best, for my impression of best must appeal to my eye and the mecha design for Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann didn’t really impress me on that level but the story line and action packed episode surely did impress me very much.

Here is the anime opening to the Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann:

Peach Girl

Well, it’s a 2005 anime, I watch it via the cable tv I have at home.

It’s an anime about a girl, Momo Adachi, and his love relationship with 2 male character, Toujigamori Kazuya and Okayasu Kairi, there are lot of twist and turns in this anime, the normal boy/girl relationship thing but more dramatic that’s all.

Here is the opening song to the anime:
